Well. March was certainly a month that happened, wasn't it?

So if you've seen my Twitter recently, this will not be a surprise, but this was my March:

I adopted them March 9. They were 7 months when I got them (almost 8 months now) and two sisters, Unagi and Nori. I've lived with cats before (but never owned my own) and was still unprepared for the amount of work they are! And then a day shy of owning them for 2 weeks, Nagi found an unknown medication tablet under the bathroom cabinet from a previous tenant and ate ~5-10% of it, so she had to go to the emergency vet for 24 hours (ibuprofen is deathly toxic to cats). She's been completely fine, but got sent home with 2 medications to take: one every 12 hours, one every 8 hours, both on an empty stomach. Which meant our schedule changed from wet food at 8:30 am and 10 pm with dry food left out all day to the new schedule: med 1 at 7:30 am, med 2 at 8 am, eating hours between 9am - 2 pm, med 2 at 4 pm, eating 5-5:30, med 1 at 7:30 pm, eating 9-10 pm, med 2 at 12 am/midnight, and their final meal left out for them at 1 am so they wouldn't starve overnight. So you can see why I had zero mental space for anything lmao. Thankfully we're almost free of the meds and I am able to sleep more than 6 hours again.

Books
  • Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right, by Jane Mayer
    • What a depressing/infuriating read, which I knew it would be going in. I simply don't think 100 rich people should be able to influence our entire political system, but what do I know.
  • One Piece, Volumes 1-3, by Eiichiro Oda
    • These are fun! But oh wow are there a lot of them.

Watched:
  • I did finish OPLA, yay! I enjoyed it a lot.
  • Anatomy of a Fall (2023)
  • Prometheus (2012)
  • Twilight (2009)
  • Mad Max Fury Road (2015)
  • Dunkirk (2017)
  • Survivor (current season)
I really did not track what I watched this month, so I'm probably missing stuff.

Fic:

This category did not exist this month. Lol.

This makes me mad because these were pretty much all songs Spotify pushed to me, especially Pado and But I Like You. But again......was not really in a headspace to do more than hit play on a song and let Spotify take over. Ok maybe this month I'll try turning off autoplay and see if I like it??

Concerts:
I failed at writing up concerts as their own posts, but maybe I'll include them here??
  • I saw Oneus as my first concert of the year. First time I've seen them. I enjoyed it, but I admit I was kind of zoning out through part of it because it was the same night that Nagi had eaten the pill and was at the emergency vet lmao.
  • I also saw IVE, which is somehow the third time I've seen them in about a year?? (First time at The Show in Korea, where I Am won, second time was the Krazy K-pop Super Concert in New York last year with 5 other groups.) I enjoyed them a lot! Yujin has great stage presence and she and Liz have my favorite vocals. My one criticism would be that they very much performed straight ahead (and did choreo for basically every song) so since my seat was on the side, I was really just seeing the side of them for most of the show. But it's such a minor thing and they'll get looser as they tour more. It's also always such a shock when I go to girl group concerts and see all the men there lol like oh it's not just the girls and gays anymore :( (The festival made it super apparent that male fans are really not multi fans - IVE played second to last and a decent number of people left when they were done and did not stay for Shownu&Hyungwon. But then it just became a Monsta X concert with Monbebe so it was fine haha.)
